Calle Converse – Camarillo, CA

This kitchen was completely isolated from the common living spaces.  The original ceiling was lower than usual and poorly lit with unattractive recessed fluorescent fixtures, making the space seem small and confined.

After removing the partition wall between the kitchen and the dining area we extended the vaulted ceiling into the kitchen, opening this area dramatically.

Even though the kitchen occupies essentially the same space as it did previously, by planning the cabinet and appliance layout carefully we were able to double the usable cabinet space while making the kitchen feel much larger.

All cabinetry was fabricated and finished by us in our Ventura shop.
